ಮ್ಯಾನ್ಗ್ರೂವ್  ಸಸ್ಯಗಳು

ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಹಿನ್ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಈ ಸಸ್ಯಗಳ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟತೆ ಏನೆಂದರೆ, ಉಸಿರಾಟಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಾದಾಗಿರುವ ಇದರ ಬೇರುಗಳು.

ಈ ಸಸ್ಯಗಳು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಹಿನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕಾಣ ಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ. 

ಹಿಂದೊಮ್ಮೆ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಈ ಗಿಡಗಳು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಹಿನ್ನೀರು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಉಸಿರಾಟಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನೇ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಾಚಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದವು ಎಂಥಹ ವಿಸ್ಮಯ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?

A special thing about these plants is, the roots of these plants emerged from the soil or water for the purpose of breath. Earlier these plants growing on the soil. When the Back water of Sea started to submerge these plants. these plants modified their own roots for the breathing purpose and roots started to emerge out side the Soil

These plants can be see only near to the sea shores or near to the back water of the sea.
